Dr. Michele Vittorio is an Assistant Professor of Practice and Director of the Center for Analytics at the Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences, University of New Haven. A Geographical Information Systems (GIS) professional with over 20 years of experience, he studies how Spatial Statistics and Remote Sensing technologies can be applied to areas such as Crime Analysis and the protection of national security. For the Gun Violence Project, Dr. Vittorio and the Center for Analytics team have been working on developing a data visualization interface for the New Haven Police Department to support data collection, processing, and analysis.
